They say you are what you eat

In this generation, a lot of people find it easier to buy takeout, eat processed crap foods because life “gets busy”. Therefore they opted for something quick and easy, not really thinking what it is that they are doing to their bodies.

I’m a firm believer that you have to properly nourish yourself with the right kind of food to have a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Yes, we are all busy and sometimes we may forget to eat, or over eat on the things that have an excess amount of process crap added to it because it’s cheaper and convienient.

Growing up being an active kid, and playing a handful of competitive sports, I learned that nutrition is important when it comes to maintaining health.

Benefits of eating a well balanced diet.

  • Feel and look great.
  • Have energy.
  • Eating a diet rich in vegetables and fruits as part of an overal healthy diet may reduce risk for heart disease, including heart attack and stroke.
  • Eating a diet rich in some vegetables and fruits as part of an overall healthy diet may protect against certain types of cancers.
  • Diets rich in foods containing fiber, such as some vegetables and fruits, may reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.

Food for thought.
